Welcome! I’m Marcelia Nicholson — founder of LILY Strategies, leadership coach, public servant, and proud Milwaukee native.

I created LILY Strategies to be a space where leaders, especially those from working-class and BIPOC communities, can bloom into their full power. I know what it’s like to lead with purpose in rooms not built for you, and I’m here to help you navigate those rooms, build new ones, and do it without shrinking your light.

As a former educator, nationally recognized policy leader, and the first Afro-Latina Chairwoman of the Milwaukee County Board, I bring more than titles, I bring lived experience. I’ve worked with movement builders, elected officials, and everyday people to help them clarify their vision, stand firm in their values, and lead with strategy, soul, and structure.

My coaching isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, purpose, and personal power. Whether you’re launching a campaign, managing a team, finding your voice, or trying to sustain your spirit while doing transformational work, I’m here to walk beside you.
